Cotton swab

In some of our products, you will find a cotton swab. It is included, for example, with tests for a vaginal sample. The cotton swab is used to remove body material. Similar to taking a smear test.

With the cotton swab, you take body material from a specific body location. With a vaginal swab, your cells are removed from the vaginal wall. With an oral swab, cells from the throat. These cells stick to the cotton tip, after which the material is examined in our lab for the presence of bacteria, for example.
